Andrea Whittaker, Deborah Prusack And Others Receive Awards Kingston, NY – Ulster County Executive Mike Hein is pleased to announce Ulster County’s School Bus Driver of the Year award winner is Andrea Whittaker of the Kingston City School District. The award recognizes her outstanding service and safety record, and is issued in conjunction with the Ulster County Traffic Safety Board and “Operation Safe STOP.”  “Operation Safe Stop” is a cooperative project in New York State that seeks to promote school bus safety through education and enforcement efforts.

The awards were issued on April 13, 2016 at a ceremony during the Mid-Hudson Region Enforcement/Prosecution Conference held at Anthony’s Pier 9, New Windsor, NY.  The ceremony, sponsored by the Mid-Hudson Region STOP-DWI Coordinators, was held in recognition of those law enforcement officers who have excelled in their region.
